Profile

Engineer working across embedded Linux, marine control systems and applied AI. At Berg Propulsion I owned products from toolchain to field deployment: a stopgap display unit, a mode selector for hybrid vessels and a ship data logger. My master's thesis at Chalmers studied learned (energy-based) measurement models for multi-object tracking in autonomous driving. Alongside the engineering I've studied product management, strategy and marketing, and I like work where the technical and the commercial meet.

Experience

Software development, marine control systems

Berg Propulsion

  • Built a stopgap GUI for propeller pitch and RPM display units during a spare-parts shortage, owning toolchain, hardware validation, production and field deployment. In production since 2023.
  • Led the Mode Selector application for hybrid vessels (JavaScript, Python, Docker), deployed on one of Norway's largest and most advanced tugboats.
  • Upgraded the ship Data Logger to Linux and streamlined its production, adding automated tests and checks. Now in use across multiple vessels.

Master's thesis: Deep Extended Measurement Models

Chalmers University of Technology

  • Learned measurement models for vehicle tracking with Gaussian Mixture Models and Energy-Based Models, trained on NuScenes data.
  • Integrated the best model into a multi-object tracking particle filter. It matched or outperformed the Variational Radar Model baseline.

Shift supervisor

Move By Bike

  • Led shifts in a national traffic management function, including leading the team remotely.
  • Built decision-making, team management and communication skills under time pressure.
